Caitrin grew up riding bikes with her family, whether it was mountain biking, doing gravel rides, or just riding around the neighborhood. She started racing mountain bikes in her freshman year of high school through the New England High School Cycling Association (NEHSCA). She has continued to race in NEHSCA, as well as doing local and regional XC mountain bike races. In 2018, she went to the National Championships for the first time and found it to be an amazing experience. In the summer of 2017, she went to Ellen Noble’s Youth Women’s Cyclocross Quest. This was her first experience with cyclocross and she fell in love. Before starting cross, she was an XC runner, so it felt like a perfect combination of riding with a bit of running. She joined Ladies First Racing and has been able to race with them for the past two cross seasons. In 2019, she is going to continue to focus on both mountain biking and cyclocross with the hope of trying a few crits. She loves cycling because of how dynamic and fun it is - there's always something new to try.
