Jen Luebke comes to us after a strong season racing for Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling. She is originally from Missoula, MT, where she studied Mathematics and Spanish. She moved to Bend, OR five years ago for a boy (Matt), a dog (Mili), and because Bend is awesome (but not that awesome, she wants us to remind everyone who wants to move there). Her "jobby job" in Bend is working at Rebound Physical Therapy, a longstanding sponsor for the Cascade Cycling Classic, as administrative assistant and strength class instructor. Jen's most ideal ride would be a loop with gravel, a fair amount of climbing, no flats/mechanicals, a pal or 5, sunshine, a bakery, and coffee.

Best Moment in Your Cycling Career: The first time I realized the power in a team and the role I get to play in it. I raced Ardeche in France for Visit Dallas DNA at the end of 2016 as a guest rider. The team was starting to really gel by the end of the stage race and we were defending my teammate Katie's high GC place. She was having a tough stage and fell off the lead group on a climb. Mandy and I buried ourselves to get her as close as we could to the main group in hopes that she could finish the bridge and get same time. She did it successfully and said after the race that had it not been for Mandy and me killing ourselves to get her there she would have lost time and places that day, but because of how much we sacrificed she had to do it for
the team. That was the first time I realized how important it is to have a team that works well together.
Any Race Day Habits: The way I pack my race bag. I pack it in a way so that I don't forget anything; it's difficult to explain. Things like, my heart rate monitor goes in one shoe while my cycling computer goes in the other. Other than that, I actually try not to form too many habits
so that I can be flexible and I'm not thrown off if something doesn't get done.
Favorite Race: This is hard to choose because I truly love so many. I love Redlands for the awesome homestays, coffee shops, and the race courses, of course.
Goals for 2018: Win a race, enjoying the process from start to finish.
Favorite Non-Cycling Activity: Skate skiing, dinner parties with friends, Netflix shows with my
Biggest Fear: Failing my teammates.
