Rider 4 Mandy.jpg

After a few impressive seasons with Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling, we are eager to have Mandy Heintz join our team. A Texas native who loves the word ya’ll, Mandy is entering her third year as a professional cyclist. Mandy is a friend, daughter, wife, and “mom” (to a four-legged Lucy) who loves to laugh and tackle outdoor adventures. She is excited to enter into the 2018 season racing with a solid group of women whom, in her words, she would rather be racing with than against. We are equally as thrilled to have her on our side now!

DOB: 7/27/1981
Current Residence: Scottsdale, AZ
Turned Pro: 2015
Cycling Disciplines: Primarily road. I love to hit the dirt in the off season both on the MTB and the dirt bike (both have two wheels!).
Specialty: All-around rider with the ability to read races well and allowing for me to be in the right breakaways. A rider that feels most comfortable suffering.
Best Moment in Your Cycling Career: Standing on the podium at the 2016 National Road Championships earning the bronze.
Any Race Day Habits: An early rise and always a couple cups of coffee. I do not like to rush in
the morning. This time allows me to review the course/day ahead and talk with teammates.
Favorite Race: Philadelphia Cycling Classic. One day races are extremely unique. They are tackled/directed differently than stage races and usually require brutal efforts!
Goals for 2018: Race more consistently.
Favorite Non-Cycling Activity: Spending time with Imogen…my Honda CRF 230F. Arizona is a magical place to own a dirt bike.
Biggest Fear: Missing family time when on the road racing. This sport requires us to be quite selfish at times through the training, racing, and travel. Because of this, there are times that we cannot be at home or with family and, as we all know, those are times that are precious that we cannot get back.
